Last Chance to Participate in Healthy! Capital Counties Community Health Survey

May 24, 2024

The Barry-Eaton District Health Department is reminding all community members to take the Community Health Survey before it closes on May 31, 2024. This survey, launched on April 15, is a vital tool for understanding the needs, priorities, and concerns of residents in Clinton, Eaton, and Ingham Counties.

Healthy! Capital Counties has launched the next Community Health Needs Assessment to identify key health concerns in the Tri-County area. This effort highlights the commitment of the local health departments and hospitals in the Tri-County area to enhance community well-being. The initial phase is a community survey open to anyone living or working in Clinton, Eaton, or Ingham counties. The survey covers a wide range of topics, including but not limited to access to care, barriers to receiving care, health concerns, community resources, social determinants of health (housing, neighborhood, transportation, education, etc.), and emergency preparedness.

Healthy! Capital Counties encourages anyone who lives or works in Clinton, Eaton, or Ingham Counties to complete the survey if they have not already. This is one of the ways residents can ensure that their voice is heard to guide the process of identifying areas for improvement and tailoring programs and services accordingly.

The Community Health Needs Assessment Survey is available online at and will remain open until May 31st.
