Breastfeeding Support

The Barry-Eaton District Health Department supports and encourages the right of women to breastfeed in any public place.

The "Breastfeeding Anti-Discrimination Act," sponsored by state Sen. Rebekah Warren, gives women the right to nurse a child in any place that is open to the general public, including stores, restaurants and municipal buses.

Supporting breastfeeding employees is also good for business. Click on the links below or visit The Michigan Breastfeeding Network for more resources.
